HHR Super Sport Exhaust for 957
HHR Super Sport Exhaust for 957
Getting the CTT fitted with an exhaust system from Hanksville Hot Rods. I'll post pictures tomorrow from the shop. I'm getting the secondary cat delete 3", Super Sport Rear exhaust in 3", Fabspeed tips and the Cold Air intake. I will post a sound bite as soon as its finished.

I had an hour drive home from the shop and this set up is loud. Youtube videos and sound bites don't do it justice. I have a couple videos that I will be uploading shortly and some more pictures.
Around 60mph there is a drone b/c the car shifts into 6th gear and its at a low rpm but other than that its not bad. I enjoy loud cars so my taste may differ from others. I have noticed an increase of punchiness with the new exhaust (that could be because I can hear the car now).
Looks nice. Hank makes some good stuff! Did the stock tips stick out that far? Might just be the angle of the pics. Looking forward to hearing what it sounds like!!

Sounds amazing so far. I bet it sounds even better under load!! Was it really snowing??
Out West here in WA we've been the opposite. We already had days in the 90's and today was about 80 again. Unseasonably warm. I suppose we will start hearing about "drought" soon since we generally get a lot of rain in April.
Hey, sounds great! I've been a huge fan of Hanks ever since I got my 957 GTS. I have the resonated secondary, about to add the X pipes.. however, I thought the super sport exhaust was for the 955. I heard the sound clip that Hank posted on youtube and that was the sound I (personally) preferred it over the SR1. I didn't know if it would be compatible. I'm assuming everything aligned correctly or did you have to modify anything? If that's just a matter of using the FabSpeed or any other single port exhaust tips, it's not really an issue. Was there any issues when you engaged the "Sport" mode? Any fault codes? Thanks!
Man, that sounds mean. I've I stalled the HHR intake on my 09 Turbo S widebody conversion, used Fabspeed's secondary cat delete pipes, and a Cargraphic muffler, but the sound should be pretty similar. I don't really know yet as the bodywork is still underway. Attached is a sound clip of mine.
Also, for anyone looking into aftermarket mufflers that have the single pipe to the tips and want to stay with an upgraded OEM look, I'm selling my Turbo S "rocket engine" tips that I cleaned and refinished here - https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...aust-tips.html
(price is negotiable)
