2004 CT or 2006 CTS

Hi everyone, wanted your opinion on above 2 I'm considering. '04 has 39k miles@$30k & '06 36k miles@$42k. Both blk/beige, neither are cpo. Appreciate your comments.

Cayenne Turbo S.

The earlier models anecdotally have some electrical issues. Not to mention the power of the Turbo S.

TY, I'm leaning towards same despite $ difference. Also, I think I would actually lose less on the CTS 2-3 yrs down the line

Absolutely love my Turbo S. You must get service records to understand exposure to common issues. Spend some time on 6speed to get a good inventory, in fact I seem to recall a checklist or inventory of key things to look for somewhere here. Lastly, you want to really understand oil consumption if you're going w/o CPO. Mine was out of control and turned out there was scoring in the cylinders which resulted in a engine replacement. From what I can tell this is pretty rare problem but nonetheless not one you'd want to get stuck with. Anyway, hope the Turbo S works out for you... tremendous vehicle.

Thanks Russ. Sounds like the CTT-S gets all the votes despite the price difference. I appreciate the issues you mentioned and I will try to keep an eye on as many of these as possible. Wish me luck...I'm gonna keep on shopping!

I'm not sure where you're located but there was a black/beige S 06, 35k miles at Paul miller in NJ. It was asking 41.9. Looked real nice. I have a deposit on an 06 blk/blk with 28k miles but no CpO. I am considering a fidelity warranty.

Oh yeah, I saw the one in NJ too. First they said it was sold, then it was available, then I asked for a freight quote and never heard back...I think they had enough interest locally. I looked into a Fidelity policy and since you apparently can't go direct, the Porsche dealer quoted me $4995 for 2 yr/24K miles...kind of stiff. I also looked into the Platinum policy (their closest thing to "bumper to bumper") from AA Auto Protection and that was about $3495. The car you have a deposit on sounds like a good buy. Hope everything works out.

I went Paul Miller two weeks ago and it was sold (on a Saturday). Monday they called and said the guy didn't take it that I should come by on Tuesday. I got there Tuesday and they said it was sold. They called me Saturday morning and said it was available again. I drove over there after going to the gym and it was sold.

It actually got delivered last night.

I think you can go direct to Fidelity...i spoke to them about a V10 Touareg.

I was wrong on the warranty. Fidelity on sells through partners (dealerships).

I received a fidelity platinum quote from the selling dealer 5/60 for 5800. They originally quoted almost 7k. There's room on those for sure.
