2008 Cayenne S DME Transmission code 1314 Problem

Hey guys! Got my wife an 08 Cayenne S last year (full disclosure: I wanted her to love it so I could inherit it when upgrading her to a newer model--She's put 20000 miles on it in that year, and my master plan was working so far, except:

Recently (the past 2 weeks, after my wife went out of town for 2+ weeks) I've had the transmission intermittently pause instead of shifting into higher gear...to the point I started shifting manually. I'd pull over when I could, shut the car down, wait 30 seconds, and then start it up again. Generally speaking it would behave normally afterward.

Plugged the Durametric into it: Then, a couple of fault codes: Coils (changed last week with new plugs), 0335 Crankshaft position sensor (on order today), and 1314 DME control module. The coil problem is gone, and the other faults vanished after I cleared them. It drove nice for a couple days, but started hesitating gear changes again yesterday. The 0335 and 1314 codes are back when I checked just now..

The sad thing is my wife drove it, and it basically went in "limp" mode on her. Now she doesn't trust it, and I got to figure it out so I can get her that 2012 model so I can keep this one!

Things I have done recently (the past two weeks): Oil Change. Air Filters. Spark Plugs. Coils. Safety and Emissions testing.

Could anything I have done caused the 1314 code to come up? I've read that cracked or loose piping/fittings for Emissions Control Valves, etc. could have a hand in this.

Sorry if an answer to this is buried in the archives somewhere, I just didn't see it come up...

I appreciate your assistance!

Ok, so as I dig into it more, it seems that the crankshaft position sensor could be the root cause of my current issue...anyone else have thar experience? Doing a new search on that one...

Sorry for the delay in replying...been out of coms for a bit.

I ordered the Crankshaft Position Sensor from the local dealer (who said they've never seen one go bad before), replaced it, and am a very happy Cayenne owner again!

(Fact is, I'm happier...I just took over the '08 for myself, and my wife now owns a '12 Cayenne S which she loves even more!)
