Why does Porsche want to compete with BMW? Isnt Ferrari, Aston and Lambo enough. Why bring themselves down?

This model is probably to attack a new segment in the Euro market since people here prefer compacts for fuel economy and ease of parking...Not saying I agree

I actually think it's a good idea. GTI is a great car but it's too young looking for my age. If Porsche makes something from the platform, I'd get one as it's fun and affordable.

 

Not good news for people that own expensive CGT's and Turbos.
Good news for young teens that want to get their hands on a Porsche.

 

you guys couldnt see this coming from a mile away? hello, they made an suv. Porsche only cares about the bottom line - money. they sell over 30,000 911s a year! porsche sold out a while ago.

*but - this isnt a bad thing. Because even though porsche strayed off from making sports cars, they went on to create other amazing vehicles. Im sure if this thing gets produced it will be on hell of a compact car!
