Need to buy some detailing gear.

dear experts.

so it is time for me to add a little to my arsenal. i already have tons of MF towels, klasse AIO, P21S wax, meguiars nxt soap and a few others things. but i need to buy a few new things and wanted to run my list by you first to make sure i am on the right track. so here we go:

- clay kit. who makes a good one for beginner? sounds like i need something in the fine-medium category according to this:
http://www.detailuniversity.com/foru...on-miller.html

- raggtop cleaner and sealant. does porsche 996 have a cloth or vinyl top? i am pretty sure its cloth, but want to be 100% certain.

- P21S wheel cleaner

- 303 Aerospace Protectant (interior use: dashboard, etc. -- i hear it is good at repelling dust)

- E-Z detail brush for better wheel cleaning

- brush for soft top and wheels/wheel wells (boar's hair??? can it be one brush for all those things?)

- 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner (for help with road tar on wheels)

- klasse SG (love my AIO, want use this one to get that wet look)

- MF applicators (tires of using MF towels as applicators)

- sonus products? what do you all think of sonus? is it all just some other product re-branded? i have some of their towels and they seem good.

under "maybe i need to buy this stuff" list:

- Zymol Strik for stubborn brake dust? (i'll get it if P21S wheel cleaner wont be good enough)

- rejex for wheel wax? (going to try klasse AIO first though)

Sonus Clay is very good, they cover all aggressive scales. I don't think you will like ksg unless you really fully understand how little you should be using. Ksg is pretty much the most finicky lsp to apply. You also won't be getting much of a "wet" look from it. You would be better off topping aio with your favorite nuba if that's the look you're after.

Ez detail brush is definitely nice, and you will enjoy using it.
I prefer foam applicators for pretty much any liquid. They distribute much more evenly.

I'm pretty happy with Sonus (green) clay and Sonus Glyde. It is easy to use and I've gotten great results.

You won't get a wet look from KSG ... just shiny. I finished my Cayenne off with KAIO and KSGx3 last fall and was pretty happy with the results. Just like BrianBrice said, you don't need very much. Autopia.org has some great tips for using the Klasse twins. If you are going that route, also pick up Sonus Acrylic Glanz to keep up the KSG after a wash.

I've also tried KAIO + KSG on my wheels and I don't think it added much. I'm in the process of trying Rejex now.
