Rookie detailing job

Knowing that I'm the car guy at work, one of my coworkers asked me how to get water spots off her car. She explained that she went on vacation and when she returned, she learned that her neighbor's sprinklers malfunctioned and sprayed water on her car and spotted her car badly. One of her male friends told her wax should take it off so she tried to wax it. When she brought it by my house I was surprised to see how bad it looked.

I thought to myself that this was the perfect opportunity to try my new flex. All I had was the Mezerna Power Finish, which I bought for my car. You can see how bad the hood of the car is. That's how the entire passenger side was along with the windows. The 50/50 shots were taken after claying. So anyway, the few pics I took are not the best, but you get the idea. Thanks for the advice Moe.

looks like you are in need of some heavier compound! you can tell in the 4th and 5th pics that you need something stronger to remove the defects, but looks like power clean does a pretty good job for a one step!

Great job Andre: some SIP will definitly do the trick for the pesky water spots left behind. Did the vinegar work on the glass? So how does the flex feel now that you have a full paint polishing under your belt?

Hey Moe, the vinegar didn't work so I used the polish again with more elbow grease and that did the trick. The Flex worked great, but I'm a little sore from all that bending and kneeling and reaching. It was fun though.

Great to hear. Detailing can be rewarding but also a test of agility. Glad to see you had fun.
