Armor All Wheel Protector really works!

I've seen mixed reviews of it so thought I'd share my two cents after running through 4 cans of the stuff over the last 2-3 months. I own a Cayenne with 22's and very low profile tires and find break dust to be a massive problem. My wheels look gunmetal grey after literally 10 miles so I decided to give the Armor All spray a go after it was discounted to $2 at Target.

I'm seriously impressed with the stuff! I usually hand wash my car once a week, primarily because the wheels look awful, but after a coat of the wheel protectant, I've been going for 3-4 weeks without washing, even though the wheels are still clean at this point. If you're in any doubt about the product, I'd definitely recommend you give it a try...

Yeah, agreed. I have been using the stuff for about 2 years now and I'm still amazed how well it works. Very cool (and effective) product!

try to go as light as possible. If you use too much, it will streak and leave a filmy residue. It's better to do a series of light coats than on thick coat (just like painting).

For a little extra pop, try waxing your wheels. My silver painted wheels look great with a coat of a sealant-type "wax" on them, really makes them glossy, shiny, and nice looking. I've been using 3M Performance Finish Sealant on them (mostly because it lasts a long time, and I have other stuff I like to use on the normal painted surfaces of my vehicle). I've had good results with Meguiar's NXT on wheels as well.

2nd what FAUEE said:

A sealant wax will provide the best protection, and will also help keep brake dust and road grime to a minimum.

If you're serious about keeping your wheels clean and easy to mantain for long periods - I'd check out this nano wheel sealent http://autoprofishop.de/product_info...alant-Set.html .. I've used only used the paint sealant from this line; but will be purchasing the wheel sealant as soon as I can.
Here in NE Ohio, it will be nice to just simply spray the road salt and break dust off. I know Moe will be offering this product, not positive of its available through him yet though.

I typically go through a can of the Armor All stuff in maybe 2-3 applications to each wheel (so every 2-3 times I wash the car). I went light when I first got it but ended up with patches of dirt where I'd missed with the spray. If you get the overage pooling in the lip of the wheel, just wipe it off and apply a little extra to cover the patch you've now removed. Just need to find it on sale for under $2 a can again!
