F430 Tubi
F430 Tubi
I am sure there are previous threads on this, but I was wondering whether anyone has a Tubi on their F430....if so are you pleased with the results and has your dealer made life tough for you with warranty.....despite my desire to get the work done my dealership continues to resist.
there is a way to achive a throaty sound in a 430 by simply disconnecting those little tubes, come over and i'll show you, i live in atherton too! or we can meet at FSV.... i buy my cars from Parris and Jason

It drones so badly it is now becoming fatiging to drive my car!
You can increase the OEM sound by plugging the rubber lines to the two valves on the exhaust. It then keeps all 4 tubes open all the time which allows a slightly louder sound but with no drone.
Don't make the fatal mistake you will later regret. Loud & constant droning do not equal a sports car sound.

The valves are there to ensure when the RPM's are low and when engine is cold that the unburned carbons, etc. stay w/in the muffler longer to be broken down by the internal heat.
The vacuum lines open the valves at about 2,500 RPM when the valve timing begins to change. So, by blocking the lines the valves stay open all the time and sound level is the same at all engine speeds.

Gcalo- Great info thank you. Someone always knows an answer on this forum. I will think about it for mine. Sounds great with them open but my 360 Tubi's almost to loud. I don't want to make the 430 any louder with after market. Tough time talking over it in the car. Hot woman don't like to yell.

The units presently available today are absurd. Noise does not equate to enjoyable driving or to engine efficiency!
I can't stand what I have on my 360 and that will change soon.
I'll advise in the Spring.

It does absolutely nothing as do the valves they operate.

plus plugging the hoses are a must to avoid a CEL.
