355 acquisition

I've wanted this car for a long time but could never justify it as many other cars exceed it's performance for less cost. I then decided that I was OK with being irrational and bought it anyway since I think it's beautiful looking and sounding. (just waiting for it to be delivered, should be here monday evening).

The car was offered on Ebay by George Evans, of Evans automotive in Ohio. It's a 99 with 22k miles and had the major service/headers in dec/09.

Looking forward to summer

grats!

it's not always about the performance-to-dollar ratio........sometimes it is more fulfilling to just own/drive the car that you truly want. i'm sure you will love it, great choice!

Please post your impressions as I'll be in a position to pick up something in the $85k range next year this time. I'd really like a 360 but there are alot of newer, higher performing cars out there for the money. Wondering if having the privilage of owning a Ferrari is worth giving up the performance.

Yes, owning a Ferrari is worth that!

The F1 sound, the ride, just the feeling of driving the best car brand in the world. I have (had) faster cars than my 360 but it feels much faster than it actually is. Especially when I've been on a 2 week trip, I really miss my ferrari then and can't wait to drive it again.

I was down the Gold Coast a little while ago and a yellow 355 was parked out the front of the entry to the hotel I was staying at. Was a perfect car to be parked there, its beautiful. Red is perfect for it. Congrats.

Thanks guys. The car seems really nice but I think it needs a little more exhaust work as it's much quieter than I expected and I really want that F1 sound.

It has a quicksilver muffler but stock cats so I think I'm going to go with high flow cats and remove the secondary cats from the y-pipe.
