Guys,

Anyone trade up from a 911 turbo to an F430? I'm considering it... figured others must have done it...wondering if you're happy with decision and why or why not? Thanks. GBG

 

Moved from a 997.2 Turbo to a Scuderia and couldn't be happier.

Only regret is that I didn't do it sooner !

Thanks guys. Generally speaking, how is F430's reliability? 996 turbo has been a tank, with very few issues over last 7 years... thanks.

 

While I didn't have a 911, I did own a 430 for the last three years and had no troubles with it whatsoever. It was a great car and I only sold it to buy a 458. Can't tell you anything about the 458 as it won't be here until next month. Hope this helps.

I have a friend who bought one, has had it for a few years now and no issues. He also drives it more spirited and tracks it. He was telling me how it is more reliable than what he thought it would be.

 

the F430 is a wonderful drive... they switched to a timing chain, so its a little cheaper to own. i need to get one some day.
