For those members that participated in 2008, we had a blast, raised money for local charities, and made friends. This year, with the help from BMW USA, floridabimmer.com, and many other sponsors, we are going to make it bigger yet!
The 2010 Charity Rally will take drivers from Watson Island in Miami, FL up the coast to West Palm Beach, and back to Fort Lauderdale. Between these locations the rally with have stops (5 total including start and finish) in which you will receive a poker card. Best hand wins the grand prize, which will have a value no less than $500. As with the 2008 rally, we keep the stops a mystery until you receive your directions the day of. Total drive time will not exceed 2 hours and there will be chances to stop for fuel.
This is a perfect opportunity to have fun while raising money for two national charities that benefit the South Florida community. The holiday season will be upon us during the rally, so it is a perfect time to remember the less fortunate.
The charities we have teamed up with are WAABI (www.waabi.org) and The Children's Cancer Center (www.childrenscancer.org). Please take some time and view their sites.

^^^ No worries about the exotic Toy rally...there is enough room for both and we are raising money for the Children's Cancer Research Center so different organization with such a good cause.

I think it's worth mentioning that the charity poker run appears to be open to anyone, while the toys for tots event is only open to exotic car owners. So for non-exotic car owners (like me) who want to participate, there wouldn't seem to be any conflict.

 

I was just noting it because I'm sure there will be people who would like to attend both.

 

yep its all good, the thing is the perfect rally size for this area is around 50-60 cars....much bigger and you run into problems with safety, parking, etc....so this area can support two rallys pretty easily.

I hope a few of you guys can make it out....if you have any questions shoot me a PM. RSC Tuning and ASR (along with some other big vendors in the area) will probably come out, so it should be a good time.
