Update - Moduline has resolved the issue/s.

It sounds like they may have had some folks working in the shipping area that weren't as experienced and placed my cabinets back to back with cardboard in between vs doing them face to face.

They're going to send me a replacement door for the right tower with the hinge installed and a new right sided panel for the left tower.. should be fairly easy to drill the rivets out and replace.

For my trouble, they comped my original shipping ($900)

Very, very good customer support from Mike Dolan on their team.

This is the the type of support (+ the cabinets themselves) that validates my reason for buying Moduline cabinets.

Highly recommended.

Window/trim paint/poly basically done
Electronics arrived
Moduline cabinet install has begun
Installed downstairs TV in-wall mount

I've lurked on AVSF for a while but I can't say I'm that much of an audiophile.

I saw your setup and mine isn't even close :P

At Motorplex, I can't go too crazy on the volume so I kept it pretty simple: 5.1 with a modest receiver, blue ray & sat box feeding the 55" downstairs. Upstairs is TV only for the moment. I wired the downstairs for a projector with a 24' throw, so that's likely to be the place for games (go Vikes), UFC matches, etc.

Kitchen cabinets/vanity in.

They forgot to order the kick plate for the kitchen cabinets.

Countertop being cut/installed in a couple weeks.

 

Just read the entire thread. Mind has been blown. I wasn't even aware such a thing even existed. If I built one of these, don't think I would ever leave.

The Fit and Finish is stunning, seems minimal expense is spared, doing things right from the start. Well done.

 

I think there are garage condo type places that are more extravagant and some that are less so, but Motorplex seems to have just the right balance.

Thanks for the compliments. We thought long and hard about whether to do this - and if we would use it enough - but since the beginning we've taken a 'try and do it right' or better yet, do it in a way that you don't say 'I should have done that instead' - within reasonable limits.

 

Your definitely setting the standard for man caves across the country. You have a room for rent?

 

Thanks - At Motorplex, there are quite a few guys going a lot further than we're going and I've seen some other garages on the 6 that are out of this world (not to mention what they put in them).

I wish I could rent it out - could defray some of the cost

 

As another weekend has gone by I am looking forward to more pics...
