Mini (progress) update.
Lot's of little, time consuming things to wrap up.
Diamond plate around sink/faucet
Painted trim black around those elements.
Stair tread edging - I wanted to keep the sides of the bottom stairs exposed (vs shaving them off and sheetrocking over them), so we decided to frame each stair tread edge individually and leave enough of a recess for the soon to arrive rubber stair tread to sit in. It's a little hard to see the detail in these pics, but I like the way it turned out. (FYI - the stair treads will be black rubber)
Brushed diamond plate stair risers - ton of work as each is recessed and each is slightly different height x width. Lots of cutting/grinding.
Added a couple of stools to the workspace downstairs (running out of things to add )
Mounted the compressor to the floor via hockey pucks.

Wow, what a tremendous project and attention to detail. I will now go home for the weekend and be appropriately depressed. I would no longer need a house with this setup. Fantastic.....

Just so you guys get an idea, here is an arial pic of the location where Chris's garage is during one of my Cars & Cafe events. The location is massive and while there are some crazy garage in there, I really like the way Chris has done his (pretty much the same exact way I would do it, in fact, if I decide to pull the trigger on one of these, I may need to hire Chris and his wife for interior design.)

Thanks guys.
Luis - do it, do IT, DO IT
Looking back at it nearly complete, I don't think I'd change too much (except make everything cost less LOL)..
We didn't have a brand 'theme' (+ I don't have any fancy brand cars :P) and we wanted to stay pretty color-neutral because I wanted the cars and my vintage signs to pop.
Thankfully, we were able to see a lot of units done or in construction. It made conceptualizing things like stair placement and floor type a lot easier.
Always happy to offer ideas if you guys decide to make it happen. (I made all the tough calls, but don't tell Tracy I said that )
Peace
ps.. I CAN'T wait for April 3rd!!!
