HIRISC, this is amazing. I dont know if you have ever heard of Clive Cussler (he is a fantastic author), but his main character in his novels, Dirk Pitt, lives in basically what you are are building. The only difference his that his is in an old aircraft hanger at the D.C. airport.
Anyways, ever since I read my first Dirk Pitt novel by Clive Cussler, Ive wanted to have the same type of place. It is second to none man. May you finish it and enjoy it in good health! Im sure you will!

Some of the guys were off last week off, but we still got a lot done.
Progress report:
Electrical done
Lighting done - think I have enough light under the mezzanine? :P
Doors installed - including deck door (still need trim)
2-3 coats of paint - burnished clay for the lower level, fashion grey upstairs
Painted sprinkler lines white/grey to match ceiling or adjacent walls.
Off for the rest of the weekend, so...
Next week:
Plumbing - install wash sink, plumb hot water heater/softener
Install air compressor
Stair treads/kick plates
7/16" cork flooring upstairs
Window trim painted/trimmed
Take the eucaboard off the concrete floor
Cabinets - both upstairs (maple) and downstairs (black/aluminum) come +/- 15th of Jan.
Lifts/TV's/furniture after that

Be sure to post pics of the cabinets, they really do make the space. The sprinkler system does blend in very well when painted.

Cars & Cafe and Motorplex have a great synergy.
The head of Motorplex is a car guy through and through and that vibe and growing facility draw in a much larger crowd of attendees than I think would show up anywhere else. The give back is that C&C is a great marketing vehicle for pulling in potential clients for Motorplex.
Kudos to Luis/Tyler & Bruno for working it all out.
