LOL, I had my ramps lift and come off my trailer recently when unloading at Barber, the front tires were somehow holding on to the trailer while barely touching it, the front fascia was actually touching.

I had to borrow someones ramps and prop them under mine for support and drive down, it was pretty embarrasing.

Ouch. That is bad. It is amazing how careless people can be.

While that diffuser might cost $10k, if it hit the ground hard enough to damage that carbon fiber frame, you can add another zero to that along with a cargo flight back to Leipzig.

How do you use the handbrake to prevent this from happening? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

It allows the driver to "load-up" the drivetrain and suspension using the torque of the motor, so instead of a sudden lurch when lifting off the clutch, you get a bit of a controlled creep. You basically use the e-brake to control forward movement while keeping your foot practically steady on the clutch and throttle. However, it's very easy to burn the clutch this way, you need to make sure that if you are restricting the car from moving forward with the e-brake, you put the clutch in and not let it drag.

From what I've seen, on a Carrera GT it takes some proficiency due to the grabby nature of the carbon clutch.

Regardless, in this instance, I believe they should've used a tow-strap. Somebody had a big lapse of judgment.
