Angry Help !! Help !! Help !!

HELP!!!

I recently purchased a set of BBS Motorsports rims from a fellow GT3 owner on Rennlist forums.

Then 2 days ago the POLICE showed up and told me that the rims were stolen. They had the serial numbers, the victims name was still written on the rims. They confiscated the rims because they were stolen property.

I paid $3000 dollars for the rims and now I am out $3000 and I don't have any rims.

What should I do? What can I do? Who should I call?

Thanks for all your help!!!

The police officer investigated the forums and found the original for sale add and then linked it to posts that were put up that "picked up new rims from ... this weekend and here are pictures"

My understanding is you will have to collect from the seller, if its deamed receiving stolen property I.E. you paid well under market you will have a hard time justifying that.

The guy I bought the wheels from only had the wheels for about 3 months. I am not sure but he probably did know they were stolen. He bought them from the guy who actually stole the wheels. The guy who actually stole the wheels was arrested. The wheels are BBS Motorsports, Carnewall sells them for $5000 wheels only. These wheels were about 1 year old and had MPSC's on them with about 75% life. They were originally sold by the person who stole them for $3000. The first buyer used them for 2 months and then sold them for $3000.

I am positive that most know who the original theif is, but I do not want to make that public until I have spoken to Lawyer.

Any Lawyers out there?
