after seeing this car at the Supercar Event in Palm Beach my dad is obsessed. Any of you guys out there have an ideas were he can find a rosso scuderia carrera gt for sale.

And from waht I recall, he wanted alot of $ for that car a few months ago when it was for sale...

No, the Scuderia Rosso one was sold for a "normal" price plus some extra cash because of the rare color. The owner of the Arancio Borealis CGT is asking a much to high price for his car.
And this really is the only CGT in Rosso Scuderia, but the color isn't that far away from Guards Red, which was an official Porsche color for the CGT.

As the other guys said, its a rare color. Why? Because its a Ferrari color. Unless you buy that specific CGT, you wont find one. The car will need to be custom painted.

For the right person I'm sure it is OK. For me, I dont think a paint color justifies a $50,000+ premium

Being "one of a kind" it's worth whatever someone's willing to pay for it. I would expect $450,000 to be "reasonable" in light of the unique color. The orange one for $700,000 or so - despite also being a unique color - is not reasonable IMO.
