Perhaps the most pointless race of all time!

 

Guess I will cancel my order for the GT-3 and change it to a 747-700.
How do you think it does in an autocross?

STUPID!!!!!!!!

 

The "race" was not as pointless as you all may think. I know the guy that organised the whole thing personally. He had one reason to do it... to raise additional sponsorship for his carrera cup drive. He is a successfully retired young guy whose passion for racing and business acumen culminated in the event.

So whilst the race was "pointless" in all your opinions... I can assure you that the driver was not as "stupid" as some of you smart guys may think....

He also tied the "race" in with the launch of the all new GT3 by the authorised Porsche dealership and recouped his costs on the event in this way, as well as obtaining additional exposure as a lead up event to the Singapore Formula 1 race. So yes, not a race that would really appeal to a hard core driver but not a stupid event by any means... especially from the driver at the event who singlehandedly organised a pretty amazing event- closing a part of the Singapore airport as well as one of their landing strips, and getting the Singapore aviation authorities to clear the event as well as airport security and customs and immigration etc. So credit where credit is due....dont be so quick to judge....

 

OMG, I will donate some of my carbon credits. Sorry.

Hey, I didn't say anyone was stupid. He can raise money however the hell he wants. I'm simply stating that racing a Cup Car against a 747 is stupid.
