LSD buster
I am really impressed with the new billet cup car LSD bodies. They really are gorgeous.
I know you had this apart. Any chance it's still open and you can snap a shot of the ramps? I would also be interested in the number that's stamped into the edge of one of the four "clover" fingers on the ramps. I'm curious if they changed the ramp angles again on the newest ones.

Are you aware that we have one available right now? You don't have to wait six months and have the track season mostly over before you can get one in your car.
I took a picture of the back of the bottle below. There are couple numbers there with the bar code. Maybe that helps?
They said there are two synthetic gear lubes. Mobil Delvac 75-90 (the one shown in this thread) and Mobil 1 LS 75-90. They said the Mobil Delvac does not have a limited slip additive and the Mobil 1 LS product does. Which is the correct product to use in our GT3 transaxles and if it is the Mobil Delvac is there an additive that needs to be used?

"Original fill in 996/997 GT3/Cup cars, and GT3Rs. Works well in all 901, 915, G50, G96 gearboxes. Used extensively in Porsche Motorsport products in every grueling test there can be LeMans, Sebring, Daytona, etc. We also use it in our service department in all street and race cars. Works in cars with or without (LSD) limited slip differentials"
You might want to PM Matt at GT gear to see what he thinks. I know he is trying to stay away from the fluid selection debate since opinion varies.
The reason I stay away from the fluid debate is that I see it like trying to compare Porsche to BMW to MBZ. All three cars are excellent cars and I find it somewhat subjective to say any one of them is the best. I feel the same way about high end oils. Good oil is good oil.
The reason that many synthetics require a limited slip additive is because they have a tendency to be a bit too slick for the friction discs/clutches in the LSD just by themselves.
Also keep in mind that what may be good for the goose isn't always good for the gander. I won't name names, but there's a well known Grand Am team that was really pushing Redline gear oil a couple of years back. They swore by it and made the example of their Cup Car when selling it to customers. The problem there is they were pushing a product that they were using with a sequential dog box for people driving synchronized gearboxes in C2's, GT3's and TT's. It was great for gears and bearings, but to slick for the synchronizers. It's always a balancing act with gear oil. You want something that lubricates well but provides enough friction when you need it.

Mobil Delvac
I was able to purchase a single gallon of the Delvac 75-90 from Kelly Moss Racing in Madison, WI. They will also ship for anyone interested. Most places local to me wanted to sell me a case.
LOL ... I can't imagine getting a case of these stinky gear oil
