RS intake, engine hood and wing on GT3

I would love to know if it is possible, and the cost. Is anyone or would anyone be interested in the 997.2 GT3 RS spoiler and the RS intake(both engine bigger scoops and havent seen the actual intake set up but guessing its different too not just the scoops/cover below the wing) to put the "reg" GT3?

I'm not sure of your exact question because your question is a bit wordy. Are you wanting to know if you could put a GT3RS rear deck lid (the engine cover, scoop and wing combination) on a GT3? If so, the answer is yes. HOWEVER,,,,,I've heard from another forum member that Porsche does not want that happening so they make it a bit pricey!! $20,000 +-!!!!!!!!! Basically you could get an RS for the charge of the deck lid!

stupid f@cking answer to my question . when people turbo a gt3 do u ask why didnt they just get a gt2? when people spend tons of money in mods do u ask why they didnt just get the next car up...

for 1 i was just curious...thought others might be as well...and some people like upgrading their cars. and maybe i didnt want flappy door handles.

Is your main concern Aesthetics? or Performance? (or Simply both) - What are you looking for w/ this upgrade?

Hey Sammy
Love your car it is awesome. I don't understand why there is people on these forums that just have to question why somebody would want to do a certain modification. These forums pretty much exist because people want to modify their cars. Good luck with the mod if you go ahead with it. I'm sure
that fairly soon the engine lid and wing will be available for much less then what it is now. I would think maybe $10K will be a reasonable number in the near future.

i always go for performance first, never spend money on aesthetics really...but i do like the look of the RS wing more so its like killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

I believe the RS wing provides more downforce, the deck lid and revised intake work together in what porsche says helps give the RS some of the extra 15hp (and i know RS engine has diff compression, which might actually be the only thing responsible for the power bump since the RS only has more hp at high rpm with same torque #s)

Sammy,

I have also considered replacing mine (07 GT3) with GT3RS decklid, but it was just way too much to spend. Instead, I went FI Many won't agree with my modding route with FI, but I can tell you I'm going to have fun with MY CAR.
I'll probably wait to get it from an aftermarket vendor, instead of OEM.

Your newer model OEM GT3RS decklid and spoiler (and everything else) WILL cost you well over $20-$25K for sure, since I've done some research on pricing.

Good luck!

Seung

an alternative might be a cup car decklid and wing, unless you definitely want the RS look...probably more effective performance wise and I wouldn't be surprised if it was less money too...although you need to be able to laugh off the stares you will get driving that wing on the street...or you can wait until a current RS owner wrecks the front and is parting out....GMG is at Laguna this weekend but you might call them Monday and get a price for the cup parts

Just checked out the cup car! That spoiler is frikkin huge man. That's a bit OTT for daily use for me. So wide and tall, could prob make the car fly if It was tilted up! Chuck, thanks for the idea though.
