Moton suspension worth it on an 07' GT3

I'm looking at the top of the line Moton Suspension kit that a friend of mine has for sale (used). I've heard retail is around 15k and he's discounting it around 50%. That's still a lot of money! I've heard the suspension is one of the best investments for improving performance on the track. Opinions please.

First that pricing does not sound right. I have never heard of Moton set up for $15K. Check into that some more.
Next how much serious tracking are you going to do? It maybe over kill expense for 4 or 5 DE's a year.
Motons are top of the line but from what I understand they aren't the just set it and leave'em alone. They require tweeking and attention.
If you haven't done anything to the GT3 consider a good track alignment, corner balance, lowering and other suspension components, ie. RSS set up.
The car will feel much better and you can always add more components later.

Not worth it if you are just going to do street/occasional track.

I track around 10-15 times a year. I'm not a super serious driver, just middle of the road. I was told that these are the top of the line Motons. I'm guessing the clubsport. This car is mainly set up for tracking. I have a turbo I drive around town. The car currently has a 2.8 neg. camber in front, 18" Fiske rims w/ Hoosier R6's. The car handles pretty good now but I would like to tweak it a bit more.

Moton Suspension

It is not a ClubSport Suspension. These are Motorsports 3 setting suspension. Two bump, one rebound. Check with Moton, GA, they list for $15K.

Why not go with something more reasonably priced like JRZ?

it's not club sport. they are not 5 digit $
even triple adj racing moton are not 15000.

not worth it.
for your use, club sport is more than adequate. anything more than that, you need a very good set up guy with you at every track you go to.

+1 to that. I have the 2 way Motons on my car for close to a year now and I'm just starting to get some feel for their use.

Marc,

I say do it! I personally run a Penske Coilover on my track toy...

You will be very happy with Motons!
