I hope to get some photos up here before long.
The A/C delete isn't all that radical. Most of the year it's not even an issue. Those times when it is too hot to be without A/C, I dress light, or drive at night, or take a different car.
While I definitely did optimize the specifications with a view toward for my DE activities, more than 90% of this car's miles will be driven on public roads.
All the same, part of my pleasure is in knowing that the car is optimized for the track.

photos of 3400S
I haven't photographed the GT3 yet, but here are some shots of the 3400S. (Other than the outside mirrors and some interior customizing, it looks like a regular 986S.)

Oh yeah. It pretty well dominates 996s at the DEs at Road Atlanta. That's a horsepower track, but my 3400S and the 996s are so close in hp, it becomes more of a cornering contest. Since my group and I are not expert drivers, the confidence inspiring handling of the mid-engine chassis is a huge advantage.
My mechanic ran the VIN through Porsche's identifier database: the car was begun in March and completed production in April of this year. Went on the boat in May.
Did you know all GT3s were held up at the port of entry well into August because DOT/EPA certification for the model had not been completed until then?
It is a bummer to know for 3 months that your fantasy car is just sitting in a Custom's impound!
