It says "911 Turbo" in the video but the car revs to 8000 rpm.

 

All Turbo models have the redline indicator before 7,000 rpm.

The only GT3 it could be is the 1999-2000 Mk.1 996, as its redline was at 7,800. All other GT3s have redline indicators after 8,000rpm.

Therefore my guess is its either a turbo charged version of a non-turbo 911, or its just a 911 Turbo that has had the RPM guages changed and the redline cutoff adjusted upwards.

 

It isn't unusual for a high hp powered turbo to have the gauges changed. Our project is a turbo that has a redline of 8800 rpm's.

There is more to these motors than just raising the rev limiter.

 

Many ECU reflashes change the redline upward somewhat. When mine was done, I would have liked a new dash so that I could see the actual redline location, and not guess at the new one located past my dash marking. If that makes sense.

 

That's insanely quick. Also, notice that the TPMS warning indicator flashes on just before he backs off!
