I'm planning on purchasing an RS, is a cover necessary? Thanks. If so, I need one of these.

I got mine from california car cover www.calcarcover.com

They have a dark grey that almost matches the grey/black color. I had them put the gt3 rs on the front. Looks great.

Their web page is not the greatest. Just call them as they are way more helpful.

Soft flannel inside, very soft. In side cover use only.

ok, then that's the one i had long ago for other cars.

Porsche has two type. one is nylon feeling inside and out.
the other (like the one you described) is very shiny almost like disco clothing while the inside is super soft flannel. the cover itself is very light wt very thin indoor use only. get that. it is the best.

The factory indoor cover feels more like spandex (sorry, that's all I can use for reference). Its very soft inside and out, stretchy, and has a full color crest on the hood. If you need pricing, please PM me for details.

Mooty, I believe you're describing the factory Silver Guard cover. Porsche doesn't offer that version for the RS.
