Recall
My car is at the dealer now getting the recall addressed. I think I'm the first one in South Florida to have the issue examined by the dealer. Depending on what they see on my car will determine the scope of what I need. Apparently hubs abd wheels may need to be replaced.
Mine was just inspected yesterday morning and had no issues with the hubs. They just replaced the 4 original version centerlocks with the updated ones which are different visually in not having the 500 nt-M torque spec printed on the face of the locks. I asked and was told by the tech that the new ones are stronger to take the higher torque specs (444-ft-lbs).
This forum is awesome in getting the recall notice out to us before the dealers have a chance to notify us.

My gt2rs is not listed in the recall. the only thing i could see was the absence of 500nm notation.
Perhaps this is just a lawyer thing. It could be argued that if someone relied on the "500nm" specification written on the CL Porsche would be liable for damages that resulted to only tightening to that spec. I know there are numerous bulletins that have been issued, however you have to have seen the bulletins and the specification is noted on the CL.

Like pfan12000, my 11 gt3rs just needed the new center locks. But I suggest every so often that your car is at the dealer to have it checked. I say this because all the recall info states that wheels and hubs are to be replaced. However the service department said that neither my hubs or wheels showed and wear or damage to either part but that since I only had 2000 miles on the car that they check it periodically.
A friend of mine at the track last weekend with a 2010 GT3 has issues with the rear hubs and one of the wheel locating spindles (5 purple painted spindles on each hub) was spinning loosely. The centerlock nut was loose after a run. So he is getting the car back to the dealer for the recall.
