Dump the car. Seriously though, I know there are some details to the shift linkage unique to this car. I had some brief trouble at a track event and some things were described by Dan Jacobs in Connecticut. You may give him a call and he may be able to shed some insight on your problem. Talk to you soon.

Same design basic design and roughly the same problem in a GT3. However, when it happens in a GT3 it more often means that the synchronizer dog teeth have been zinged and damaged.

You can try the Gbox detent fix (look on Ebay) but in all likelihood you are going to need to go in and replace 2nd gear. Not really what you want to hear about your brand new to you car, but it's a very real possibility. But start with a Gbox detent fix and a fresh gearbox full of oil and then go from there.

I've had a similar problem with 1st and 2nd gear. Very difficult to pull 1st or 2nd out of gear when coasted to a stop. Mechanic couldn't "duplicate" or fix the problem. I'm getting rid of the car now. At speed, the shifting seems OK, but slow around town is a big problem.

400 miles? Oops. I didn't read your first post right. There's no way in hell this should happen on a brand new car unless the tech who broke it in on the dyno at the factory terribly missed a shift a didn't tell anyone about it. Good to hear that they are taking care of it...

Glad that you got this resolved. I chased this problem since April. Now I have to get rid of my car.
