I just took delivery of my 2007 GT3 yesterday.
It's a CPO and I highly recommend CPO.
I had a C2S that I traded and I used to track it.
I will track the GT3, but I won't do any mods at first.

You want a tracked car. That means the buyer appreciated what the vehicle was made for. Track people don't tear up cars, but they care for them correctly. Usually a tracked car has only been out a few times, and it's good for the car.

There are plenty available - prices all over the place. If you do not care about tracking it my advice buy the lowest mileage car you can find with a CPO at the lowest price.

Well, that's what I did, that is, I got the lowest mileage GT3 I could find, and it is a CPO. But, I will track it.

Guys thanks for the advise. Plan to just use it as a fun car. probably look for a CPO.

Does it really matter if it is a 2007/08 vs 2010? the price delta is quite a bit?

It doesn't matter to anyone, but you. There are differences between the two including 3.8 liter engine vs the 3.6, obviously the cosmetic differences, no sunroofs on the 10's and 11's, center lock wheels vs standard 5 lug, the mk2 has the .1 rs pulley and flywheel, the new nav unit which is much better than the old one, engine mounts are an option on the mk2, and I'm pretty sure there are some I'm forgetting, but in the end its all up to you whether you think those are worth the difference in price.

If you can afford the mk2, then get it, why not have the newest and best technology, and o yea its way faster then the mk1

Mr B, thanks.

I am going to ask a real newbie question. As I will be transfered to US this summer, I have never bought a car there. How do I go about doing that in the US. I hear a lot about credit rating but I dont own anything or even a credit card in the US. Appreciate someone can guide me thru from the time I found a GT3 till the time I bring the baby home.

Thanks a bunch!!

Well noted Victor, I have been working on that my whole life but it seems to be eluding me all the time!
