2007 gt3 ppi

I found a clean 1 owner car with 6 months of factory warranty. Is there any reason to do a PPI at an Indy if the dealer provides me over rev info. They say the car has 0 overrev's...

Yes, you have to do a PPI!

Thanks. I gave it some thought...the PPI will tell me more about paintwork etc..

In your PPI , do you guys do compression/leakdown tests for these cars? The car i am looking at has 6000 miles , 1 owner.

VUCommodores is infamous around these parts
Would you get a PPI from another dealer if you were buying from a Porsche dealer?

If the carfax is clean and no over revs, I wouldn't say it was totally necessary. You still have 6 months to get it sorted if there is a problem. Being a 1 owner with 6000 miles, I wouldn't be totally concerned there. If it was older with higher mileage, then yes. However, the PPI is like $150-200 so it's not a ton of money if you feel better about it. Being that the dealer is selling it, then I'm sure its had a solid once over. Are you buying it as "certified"?

Its not a CPO. CPO adds a lot of money.

Worth it. I bought my car from a bmw dealer so CPO wasn't an option. I'd add the extra 3-4k for the peace of mind of an extended warranty through Porsche.

Based on my 996 tt experience i feel quite comfortable owning a GT3 without warranty. But the next 6 months will tell me more...i can always get it CPO'ed at my local dealership before the warranty expires. Plus he said its another 6 k for cpo. Easycare is only 3800 and has worked very well in the past.

$6K? Wow! I didn't realize it was that high.

What is easy care? Private company?

Yes Easycare is a private company . They are top notch when it comes to aftermarket warranty. No questions asked , they took care of everything in my 996tt.

did you own a 996tt as well?

How long of coverage for the 3,800? What was the deductible?
