The "GT3 RS" in Fast Five
It's a 3.4 996 with a body kit painted in mexico blue, with some fikse's and the GT3RS sticker that's about 4" higher than where Porche put it. Paul needs to step his car game up if that's one of his cars.

My bad- I was told there was a real GT3RS used in the movie, I havent scene it yet.
I would guess that if they used a 996 it wasnt his - LOL but who knows.
I took his black 996 GT3 on partial trade for a BMW Touring Car I had on trade a few years ago and know he has an RS.
Gotta love Hollywood though....... LOL

There was not a real one in the movie. BTW, real 996 GT3RS's were only made in white with either blue or red graphics.

Okay re-read the article. Long story short the Porsche's used in the movie are tuners made to look like RS's. Not sure why I thought the article said one was real. One even had a RHD conversion...crazy. I guess I thought the RHD one was real....I guess I do not feel like they were gross. Mexico blue, OE parts, and CCW's adds up to win in my book. oh well.
The 66 Chevy Grand Sport was real (not the stunt cars... which were VW's!). The GT40's were kits, the 71 GTR was real... and the bank vault was actually a car.

They were not OE parts or color, the stickers were in the wrong spot, and it had the front end of a 99-01 Carrera (996 GT3 RS's were made in 2004, so the front end was different), I guess I'm a stickler for the details. If it didn't have the GT3RS stickers on it, it would not have been as bad.

Without the stickers I think it would a well done 996. Maybe I have soft spot for Mexico Blue though...

They had a bunch of those fake RS's here in Atlanta for some of the shots. Some of the local BMW club folks were at the shoot as extras with their cars. They are all fake. (and ugly ones at that)
I want that body kit... Should fit nicely on a Chrysler 300.
But are you guys trying to say they don't portray cars accurately in the Fast and Furious saga? You mean Dodge Challengers can't keep up with GT-R's in real life? Blechhh...
Here is a link to when they had those abominations here locally.......
