Test drove 997 S today still like the tt better

I finally test drove a 997 Carrera S today. I have to say it is a really nice car. The exterior styling is starting to grow on me, as long as it doesn't have the lobster fork wheels. The interior is really nice with alot of new features.

As far as the drive goes I just didn't get that rush of acceleration that you get with the turbo. Maybe a 997 turbo would do the trick, but seeing as the HP level I am at right now the RED BEAST is here to stay.

But to those of you who have a 997 S it is a wonderful car!

Ben,

You think the 997 S could take my Red Beast on the ring?

not a modified TT, but apparently w/ the performance chassis (-20 mm), the 997S gives a stock TT all it can handle.

that the 996 GT3 is still the car for the enthusiast (not wanting to spend $400k+ for a CGT) who doesn't need rear seats or AWD for weather related daily driver reasons.

C'mon now, Buddy. I remember a certain infamous thread about an evenmore infamous road trip, and there was talk of an Amex Black card (at a Denny's or somewhere I think).

Load it up, then skip town in the CGT. No-one will spot you.

Unless it's red. .

(Seriously, you're still my hero)
