Repair, Replace or leave it alone?

Today when leaving the office I noticed a small screw in my front tyre.

Could not have been there long and the head still had enough depth for me to be able to screw it out.

The tyre does not seem to be leaking air and have taken the pressure to be sure. As it is summer, I will not do any more track days till Autumn.

So the question is, until track season starts again should I:

Repair, Replace or leave it alone?

If it wasn't very deep, and if the tire wasn't leaking, then the steel belts are still intact. So, I think your tire will be fine, even on the track.
Just my $.02.

If the steel belts are intact, you shouldn't need to apply a patch.

I had a similar situation last year and I drove tire almost to the cords with no issues. Keep an eye on it, but you should be fine.

looks like the nail didn't penetrate the rubber. you are fine. easiest way to test is use bubble water. spray some and see if u get air coming out. if not, you are fine.

It's about $500 for a new tire. I would not risk my life for $500. There are other things in life you will take chances on, this should not be one of them.

debate??

Guys, are we REALLY debating this? C'mon....is it worth the risk of "maybe it'll be alright, but I won't know until I'm tracking out of a right sweeping off ramp and my tire blows, then my $130,000 car is worth less than the cost of a new tire...

Yeah, I know you guys are smarter than that, otherwise we wouldn't be Porsche guys!
