Installed GT2 Seats in my 997.1 GT3 RS
Thanks to Ryan @ Suncoast for taking care of me with these seats, belts, and anti-sub bars.
My overall impression after about 50 miles of driving is that the seats are extremely comfortable with regular seat belts. With the 5-points, I feel quite secure and the seats are still comfortable. I don't feel any need to adjust the back angle or height. For reference, I'm 5'10" 215#.
Installation was relatively easy. Disconnected battery, mounted all my belts/anti-sub bars outside the car. The Passenger Air Bag light won't go off (documented at the DIY section), so I have a scheduled appointment at the dealer mid next week.
The rollbar is the GMG RSR.
Looking forward to the next DE in 2 weeks.

Strange.. These seats have airbags and the weight sensor, no error codes (went to dealer today - had saturday crew and they couldn't resolve today). They indicated that they need more time to clear it. Supposedly (as per the DIY post), the dealer has to do a complete reset of the DME and needs all the codes for the car. They said they'll take care of it Wed.

Congrats, that looks great!!!
I also have the GT2 seats in my 996tt, I absolutely love them...
As you know the connectors dont match up, I cant advise anyone to do this for legal reasons but a workaround is to take the female seat belt receptacle off the old 996 seat and plug it into the harness and leave it under the seat, this will prevent the airbag light from illuminating. It was my interested to have harnesses made, but Ive been in Afghanistan the last year.
You will still get the seat belt light, but you can OK out of that. Harnesses are still on the radar, just might take a few months after I am back.
