I'm still holding hope to be in on this.

I may push to the boundaries though as 82x104.1 may not be enough!

Well… you could opt for the 105.4mm Capricorn sleeves and 82mm stroke that will give you 4292.8cc. 105.4x84 would be 4397.5cc. I wish I had a GT3 motor to try and do that with

You would be better to use steel rods, if you over boost and or get a missfire you could bend Ti rods, not an issue on NA cars due to the lower pressures involved.

I have run Ti rods on high HP race engines with success but its risky and obviously RUF are happy with the gamble because of a great tune/tunner!

If you are SURE of your tuner knows what he (or she) is doing and all safety nets and controls are in place plus a big, bright in your face over boost light. Spark Plugs are of the correct range for the new service and replaced every 6000 miles and fresh high octane fuel and a tip top fuel system including uprated (twin pumps-lift and pressure) and uprated boost hoses and intercoolers you should be good to go...

I will have to agree with Jay.
I don't think you need the Ti in a turbo application. You could but …
7000euro is quite a bit. We can get Ti rods fro around 7K US$ but that is 4K more than steel ones. I think 4K spent somewhere else would be a better idea; on your cylinder heads with some cams will probably yield the most gains!!
By the way, I think you should go bigger… Like 4.0, 4.1

Hi Adam

I could easily be persuaded to go for Ti rods but I would like some assurance that there will be no issues with clearance for the 104.1 x 82 set up.

Would you please be able to check into this for me and if no issue I will go this way

regards

Mike
