Well, my trickle charger wasn't hooked up and the battery died and after a several day charge, the battery light charger blinks yellow at the 75% level. Me thinks its gone south. Just wondering of anyone changes out to an odyssey or something similar?

I believe the Interstate replacement is the MTP-94R/H7 - it is the exact same size as the OEM.

The H6 is the lightest of the 3 and 11" long. H7 is 12.44" long and the hold down clamp fits in the OEM hole. The H8 is 13.94" long so another hold down clamp hole has to be used. The H8 is almost 10 lbs heavier than the H7.

That's right. The H6 weighs about 40lbs though so not exactly a light weight. The RS has the holes there and I think comes with the smaller battery depending on options (my car has none and has some deletes). Porsche specs 3 different batteries.

Anyway, if you don't care about weight, get the H6 or H7, both should fit with OEM holes.

Wondering if anyone is using an Odyssey PC1220. That's the battery I am currently looking at getting but it's 45.6 lbs.

Just replaced the battery with the Interstate H7 (94R) yesterday. Used the second mounting hole from the left. Previous owner had installed a smaller battery that wasn't holding a charge.

With the extra length of the H8 I had to use another hole for the hold down clamp and on my tray that one was not threaded so I had to rig up a nut to hold the clamp on...that's when I went back to the H7.

Purchased a Odyssey 925 battery. Now looking for the best battery hold down and thinking of going with the Rennline.

The Sears Platinum glass mat technology battery is in my .1RS, and it has worked flawlessly for the past year. Powers a high drain sound system with no worries. At about $180 inexpensive to boot.
