997.2 GT3 Valuation
Hey guys,
So i've been looking for a 997.2 GT3, and I thought a few years ago these cars were 105-110k. Seems like they tooks a serious price hike.
For example..is this guy dreaming?

Can a 10 or 11 with under 15k miles be had for 105k?

They only shot up because of the 991 GT3 engine issues. Wait a few weeks till the 2015 allocations for the GT3 become available and more 991 GT3s are cleared for road use. They will go back down then.
I'm not so sure the 991 GT3 engine issue has as much do with the pricing as does the fact the 997 is the last of the manual gearbox, etc.... time will tell I suppose.
And if the rumor of the 991 GT3RS having a turbo becomes reality then I think the 997 prices will rise even more... and the 4.0 value will be even more ridiculous than it already is.

I think most .1RS and .2RS owners will keep their cars. I own a .2RS and everyone I know is keeping their cars. A few are on the list for a 2015 RS but keeping their current RS. I had a similar dilemma when buying my car. All I noticed was a steady price increase as I waited. I finally gave up and pulled the trigger on a good deal 6-7 months ago. Prices have continued to rise since then. Will prices go up or down after the 2015 RS is out? Nobody knows for certain, but with the lack of a manual, mezger engine and hydraulic steering I think the value won't drop much if any. Make the 2015 RS a turbo and prices will go up like crazy (above MSRP) in my opinion. Good luck and don't wait. Just buy one and never look back. I usually keep my cars for a few years and sell, but I have no plans of selling my RS. Best car I've ever driven.

Only makes sense for the GT3 RS to get a turbo charged flat 6 (exceeding the 4.0 500 hp) while the GT4 will likely get a turbo charged flat 4. All spy shots support that theory.
