The car looks fantastic. Seeing it in purple reminds me of being in college and when I would see a techno violet M3 on street.

It appears he had high praise for the GT3RS but seeing the original GT3 video again he comes off a little more excited for that launch? I can't wait to see it in person. I love the fenders.

I thought the same thing on the reviews. It's probably just due to the delta change in performance. The 991 GT3 was a huge jump in performance. The RS is no doubt incredible, but not as big a jump I guess. I'd take one without hesitation over anything in the $180K-$400K range right now.

I enjoyed the review a lot. One silly question though, is the 4.0 engine the same as the 997 gt3 rs 4.0?

Interesting that the car had 997 GT2 seats and not the newer ones.

The new 4.0 litre engine is an upgrade on the 3.8 currently used in the 991 GT3. More expensive, lighter and stronger internals. Apparently same crakshaft exotic metal as the LMP cars. Unusual that the RS rev limit is lower than the GT3 though. Monkey still seems very happy with it and reckons it feels 10% quicker than the GT3. Lots of excited buyers chomping at the bit to get their hands on them asap.

Crankshaft material is the same as the current GT3. This was confirmed by the technical presentation at Atlanta last week. It is a different material from the past RS. The lower redline has to do with the longer stroke.

hmm to be honest I was expecting more , maybe its beacuse Chris didnt show any feeling regarding the speed . Maybe its because after testing the 918, laferrari and P1 , slower cars feel boring to him

the car looks aweasome by the way

I also really enjoy his reviews, especially this one....

Im also a big fan of the GT3 RS. Really like the latest engineering enhancements all within the more muscular Turbo body.

Always look forward to his videos and am quite glad that he split off from Drive and is doing his own thing.

That purple color is too good. Someone should buy one and get custom "BARNEY" plates.
