Why would you put Turbo bumpers on a GT3?

this car's been on ebay a few times. Interesting car to say the least. I like how it looks, but it definitely is weird to have a turbo bumper on a GT3. Wheels look nice. But it's a salvage title and that might not mean too much and you may be getting a great deal, or it could mean a whole hodgepodge of maladies that rear their head at a later date.

The reason the vehicle is a salvage title is because it was involved in an accident. The accident damaged the front and rear bumpers as well as one wheel. The airbags did not deploy.
This sounds very dishonest. If the damage were limited to that, it would not have warranted the car being totaled.

I sold the wheels to the original owner who put the turbo bumpers on, I told him that this was a special car as he was not a Porsche guy put he thought they looked cool!!!!
The salvaged car was purchased for $45,000 before the repair work and the air bags did deploy but was mostly cosmetic as for the damage.
By the way the wheels are Work wheels not Speed line.

Insurance companies can be quick to write cars off even if, like RENNWORX says, the damage is cosmetic. My GT3 was a salvage with cosmetic damage (and no airbag deployment) but I bought it from someone I could trust, who still services the car, and who was able to document everything. If you can't get that level of comfort, then you shouldn't do it. Another thing I think shouldn't be done is put 19's on a GT3. I just sold mine even though the look was great, the ride was scary. 18"s MUCH better.
