I mean I see 1999 GT3's for sale also on Mobile.de is this GT3 going to be the same as an 03 or 04 GT3? Engine wise and all?

And how much does a GT3 996 Weigh? and does it have bigger brakes?

Anyone mod their GT3 and get good results?

Thanks!!

Modding = RUF or Manthey (costly $$$ per HP)
Bigger brakes than what? Bigger than standard 996?? of course.

99 is first generation, worth less than newer ones like most everything else.

All are good, newer is better.

Short:

In europe the car was delivered as GT3, and with the possibilty of a Clubsport package. The clubsport package includes racing seats, rollcage, battery master switch and a six point harness for the driver side.

The 996 var delivered in two "versions", MKI and MKII. MKI was produced from 99-01 and the MKII was produced from 03 until 05 (about right, at least)

The spoiler is different, the MKII got about 20hp more, new lights and I am sure there is many more details that is different.

GT3RS is almost a GT3 MKII Clubsport, but are about 50kgs lighter.

Thats right, 381hp both on the 996GT3 MKII and the 996 GT3RS. A friend of mine got a GT3RS and he sais he couldn't tell the difference if he was driving a GT3RS or a GT3 MKII Clubsport if he was blind (and the setup of the cars was the same)

He might if he listened to both at a stoplight with his foot off the clutch pedal. GT3RS came stock with a single mass lightweight flywheel.
