So let me get this straight...they said that to take your car in trade, you had to change the tires and the Sachs clutch/lwf ?? And then they "helped you out" by selling you these at a massive markup ??? Did you also get some Vaseline with this transaction ??

First of all, yeah...i wouldn't call it massive, but you are paying dealer prices and they are always the most expensive. Also, I could be wrong but I doubt it...the stock clutch on your car is ALSO made by Sachs...so it's nto really an aftermarket product.
But you didn't answer the question...Are you giving them your car as a trade in on the CGT ? If so, all they are doing is asking you to pay for your current car to be taken back to stock so they can get it CPO. In most cases, this is the dealers responsibility, NOT YOURS. Of course, if the dealer has to do a bunch of work to your car to get it CPO'd, this will be reflected in the price they give you for your trade in.
Considering this dealers past history, I find it interesting they are charging YOU to make these changes. This is of course assumning you're trading the car in for the CGT...

not a trade in the cgt they have is sold... to a british guy and its being shipped to the UK.. .. but no its being brought back under the lemon law. They told me it was 4k then the GM said hook it up and they gave it to me at like 3989 dollars.. Total for tires and clutch and flywheel.. 5208.89.

I think the dealer is bending you over. Becasue tires have anything to do with the lemon law ?? PA-LEASE.

did the dealer say WHY the clutch and tires need to be changed ???

The vehicle MUST be in 100% original factory condition; now I'm sure in some cases this process can be waived. I am dealing with a vehicle right now that would constitute a Lemon, but due to an $8,400 cost to the customer's portion to change the vehicle back to stock, they have decided to keep the vehicle.

I can understand the clutch. But the N4 vs. N5 rating on the tires is complete and total BS...
You could always buy the tires from Tirerack and have the drop shipped to the dealer.

Can someone please clearify this "N" rating on Porsche OEM tires. This is the 2nd time I've heard about this in a week. I called Tire Rack (yes I said Rack) to order some tires and the guy said, "but those aren't "N" rated. I said what difference does it make? He replies that if a Porsche comes in for service without N rated tires, it voids the warranty or they will not do warranty work on it.

I thought the guy was crazy and ordered the tires I wanted without the N. Can anyone clear this up and is certain of what they speak?

N is the letter Porsche uses to spec their tires. just like Mercedes uses M. other companies have their rating system. the bigger the number (following the letter) the newer version it is. u can find more info on Tire Rack's website.

Honestly, I think they are being more than kind to you because if they wanted to be ****** they would just say that the car was messed with (aftermarket equipment) , void the warranty and hassle you on the buy back.

Take the deal and be done with it. Just my .02
