Total GT3RS Allocation

Looks like there were a total of 306 996 GT3RS' built in 2004 worldwide. I wonder how many 997's will be built worldwide. I think it would be safe to say that the US is getting half of all allocations putting worldwide cars at just under 550?
I do not have any "inside" information. These are just my thoughts(hopes). The 996 gt3 and the 996 RS(I believe) were made for more than one year. Why would there not be more than one year for the RS. I do not know the exact numbers but I know they make more the first year. There are many less 05 GT3,s then 04,s. If they make 220+ RS's for 07 maybe there will be 100 or so for 08. If that is the case, I think everyone who still wants one will be able to get one. The same thing we are seeing now was going on when the first GT3 was available here. When it all died down I ordered my 05 just the way I wanted it, for less then msrp. I plan to do the same thing again. I can not see Porsche not making more cars if they can sell them, and they can sell more RS's.

i'm 50/50 on this. they might make more knowing they will not have problem selling it. in fact, some dealers are not happy because they won't even see one. i heard dealers have allocation in Sept but i'm not sure how truthful is that. if that's the case the car has to be 2008. on the other hand, i also heard RS can get away with no sunroof is because it's rare production car. i don't know the DOT rules though. hack, even the 997 GT2 will have sunroof...
we have quite few dealers here on board. hopefully someone from inside can share some info.

Porsche AG is shooting to sell 100,000 cars per year worldwide. That's the company mission.
For that reason, there is a new 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse 4 doors coming, and a multitude of 911, Cayman, Boxster , Cayenne variants. Anyone with patience will get whatever they want. I'm in for a special color 997 GT2.
Any new Porsche is a bit hard to get the first 6 months. Keep in memory what happened with the Boxster back in 97, the GT3 back in 2003, the Turbo back in 2000. Back then Porsche didn't have the 100k mission. Worldwide production for the 997 GT3 RS for 2007 is 1,000 units per EVO mag.
There are rumors of a dry-sump 3.8 911 coming. It sounds like a 911 RSR.
