Does anyone have the article yet? I guess they have the C6 Z06 up against a 997 GT3 (on Sport Cups) and an Exige S (also on R's).

 

I heard the results. ZO6 had a quicker lap time.

This was at Buttonwillow and quoted from another forum:

Z06 11.8@122. Exige S 12.8@107. GT2 12.0@118. Ariel Atom 2 11.5@117. Noble M400 1.7@120. Superformance Brock Coupe 11.9@119.

The track was Buttonwillow, Config 13, 2.7 Miles.

Lap times:
Z06: 2:01.00 (on true street tires (OEM F1 Supercars))
Exige S: 2:04.3 (on R's (Advan A048's))
GT3: 2:01.50 (on R's (Pilot Sport Cup's))
Atom 2: 1:58.30 (on R's (Advan A048's))
Noble M400: 2:00.40 (on R's (Pzero Corsa's))
Superformance Brock Coupe: 2:02.70 (on R's (Ecsta v710's))

wow! that is some test comparo.

i am still awaiting my gt3 with great anticipation even if z06 is faster. quality, style and feel will make gt3 worth it to me.

however, if i had gararge space having both z06 and exige s for not much more $ would be tempting...

 

This z06 stuff is getting old..real fast..

 

what track? different tracks cater to different cars. the benchmark, the 'ring' was won by the GT3 and thats to me the mother of ALL tracks.

wow the corvette actually won!!! i am sooo surprised!!! contacting local Chevy dealer to order one immediately and asking if i can trade in my GT3... this is great news guys!!! finally i can dump my ****ty *** Porsche for an all American Muscle King... The Mighity Corvette Z06 (On Runflat!)

wow. Last I checked we can talk about fast cars whether american or german on this site. I am a porsche fan and have owned only porsches but the vette beating a car built for racing is pretty impressive. I can't wait for the defenders to come and this thread getting out of control because egos can't handle certain cars loosing and certain cars winning.

I think your comment is uncalled for. No where did the original poster bash your all mighty GT3. Come on now and grow up. I really find it pretty stupid that a car may have been better than the one you own and now you start the garbage. Every test is different and no need for careless remarks.
