04 gt3 $
04 gt3 $
I'm a newbi to the group looking to get into my 1st gt3 ,currentily have a 01 s54 m roadster ,I'm looking @ a 04 gt3 with 6k miles ,asking 81k basic car does this seem fair $ private seller. thanks
Depends on several factors.
Myself, I prefer to buy from a private party, simply because I like to know the owner to get an idea of how the car had been taken care of. Dealers don't usually know anything about the cars, and really don't even care, it's just another unit to sell for a profit. The fewer questions you ask, the happier they are.
If I were to sell my GT3, I could assure the owner how it had been serviced, driven, stored, never raced, all original paperwork, etc., etc., etc. Also, he could see my other cars, house, etc, and easily tell that I'm serious about caring for things properly. To me, that's always preferable to buying anonoymously from some money grubbing salesman at a dealer. Which in turn translates into a justified higher price.
So, what's my pristine non-tracked 04 original sticker from Champion of $118K with 7000 miles worth? Lots of factors have to be considered, and only the ultimate buyer can determine what any particular car is worth to him. A "good deal" is not only measured by the final price.

Don't let a few grand keep you from a clean and unmolested car. Nice examples can fetch up to $85K. Check this out..

The car still has 1+ year of factory warrany, 6k miles. If all else checks out and is clean, probably sell for $79,500 to $80k depending on options.
Olav, you think every GT3 is too high........until you buy yours. Get off the sidelines, spring in upon us.
