Gt2 ?
I want to know your thought about the 997 GT2.
I know it is not yet in the market, but you can almost guess the spec and price.
I love the GT2 and I am planning to buy one in the future. But I not sure does it worth it, especially I guess the motors are almost the same as the TT and the chassis are similar to the RS. Plus, the resell value is not strong.
For the new GT2 price, I guess I can buy a new Ferrari F430 race model. Which is around 530hp from a V8 NA motor.
Do you perfer the F430 CS or the new GT2 and why?

My guess?
$200k MSRP
550-575 hp
3200 lbs
It will smoke the F430CS in every category
Will we ever see either one of the above mentioned cars here in the states?....Who knows, but I sure hope so.

just yesterday I saw a friend's F430 spider, over one year old, and let me tell you, they don't age as well as porsches... yesterday I realized I'm staying with porsche for a long time... but are you sure you want the GT2 as a daily driver? get the 997 TT with the upcoming power kit, and all other sporty goodies (manual, short shifter, limit slip diff., PCCB, etc.)...
575hp will be awesome!
It won't be my daily driver.
I agree Ferrari don't age well, especially when the new model released. However, the resell value is still higher than Porsche.

Where did you hear 550-575hp? Rennteam and others peg it at 530hp at best and that traction control has been an issue. Hope you're right though. At any rate, expect it to approach $200k. Current versions are a great deal in the interim.
I didn't hear it anywhere. It was my uneducated guess (and hopes) of what the car should come out at to be competitive with the rest of the supercars out there.

nowadays a 911 flagship with 530hp is surely not enough!

You are going to figure this out the day you buy your first P car
Have you owned a 996GT2? If so you would know that there is a lot more to them then HP figures. The GT2 is an icon of sorts and car that will forever be etched in memory. What HP is the 997GT2 going to have is not a matter but as always what it does with those numbers.
Yes, I have a 996 GT2. I think the original hp is not enough and of course I can always modify it.
But for the new one, I want the car have more than enough hp especially the VGT motors are not easy to modify I guess?
And for the price. I want it to be the KING and I don't want to see something like the zo6 beat the GT3, TT or whatever BS to the GT2.
