Forgive my seemingly stupid question: Does anyone think the 05 GT3 will ever achieve "collector" status?
I have a black 2005 with 5800 miles, never tracked and always garaged. I am getting a little tired of the car and was thinking of trading it in on the SL500 MB.
Opinions are appreciated.

The RS will have more value ofcourse.
The 04-05 GT3 was the first to come to the US and is track oriented more so than the 997 version, it will have an appeal to track enthusiansts for quite some time, I imagine values to hold pretty well.
They will be part of Porsche collectors garages down the road.

Doc,
i doubt it. it is what it is but hell of a fun car to own. if u're not planning upgrading to a newer 911 anytime soon then the 996 GT3 is the best modern 911 to date, in my book. u'll regret selling it.
