GT3 custom exhaust
New custom fabricated exhaust with dual 3.5" pipes based on the GT cup cars installed in my friend's 997GT3 earlier today:

Video taken with my camera phone (doesn't do it justice, especially the sound):

Sound is AWESOME. The insides of my ears were shaking when it was being revved to 5k. Sound is sharp and pure engine. Because of the restrictions that were removed, we expect this to flame upon deceleration.
Originally, the stock exhaust felt like it was moving VERY little air. Installed the new one and you could feel your shirt move 15 feet away from behind the car. Owner says the car feels more responsive and pulls better throughout the RPM range. On the first test drive, he floored it and the car went sideways.
We weighed the original hardware that was removed and total came out to around 30 kilos. Didn't get the chance to weigh the new exhaust but it's pretty light and can be carried easily with one hand. We reckon he saved around 50 kilos just by doing this mod. He's also got a CF hood that saved him 3 kilos. More CF goodies on the way...
BTW, this is the same car that did 320 kph recently with a vid posted on youtube. Truly a BAD*SS GT3
To be dynoed soon.

Car was bone stock when it did 320 and had just finished its break-in. If you watch the video, it could have easily done 330, but that wasn't the target for that day. Owner had just gotten the car and was testing the GT3's limits and as most good drivers are, they test their own as well. Now that its hit 320, he's aiming higher. And he swears that with this exhaust, it'll help him get there.

wouldn't going to such larger diameter exhaust on a NA car cause a low and midrange power loss? that's bigger than most of the TT exhausts out there I suspect. did you guys do a before and after dyno to gauge the results?
