Just Lowered My Gallardo
Just Lowered My Gallardo
I just picked my Gallardo from BH Lamborghini service.
New Pirellis and I had it lowered 3/4 of inch.
No more understeer, no longer feels like I am driving on ice.
It had 11,500 miles on the last set of tires. Won't do that again. It's a very fast 06 Spd.

I got new tires on mine a while back but never really had the occasion to test them out, so when Peter and I (and 7 or 8 other cars) got together last weekend, following Peter who knows those roads well, I was able to test out my tires and man did those things stick, I loved it.

Marc,
Just back from the gym going down Tuna Canyon to the beach (for those who don't know Tuna Canyon is 4.5 miles of racetrack, the last 2.5 miles of which are 1.5 lanes wide ONE WAY!) No understeer, tons of grip, the car was really neutral. New tires transform the car.
Fond memories of that car, drove it into the ground.
It was a delete car like a GT3 or SL. No a/c, no heated rear window, unpainted bumpers, drivers side mirror only, no cassette player, no rear parcel shelf. 65 HP with a 4 speed man. Built for speed, an uncomprising driver's machine. I believe seatbelts were an option.
I think it was one of last cars produced with a carb.

The car has fully adjustable coilovers, it's just a couple hours of labor. BH Lambo did it for $310.00 which was kinda unbelievable.
I went for 3/4 of an inch, I know Marc went with 1 inch.

Wow, you mean all this time it was like "driving on ice" thru those canyons!!
I can't imagine someone attempting to keep up with you now after this transformation.
