I think the B7 RS4 pulls on the R8 as well.

I know it sounds disappointing. But that's what people told me who owned both the RS4 and the R8. The RS4 pulls in a drag race between the two.

Might be true,Drove it that day.Feels good in 0-60 only..beyond that..
Also lack on aftermarket parts supply,similer priced car like 911s are so easy to make them faster.By today there are even no one making high flow air filters(panel one) for R8...The cheapest aftermarket exhaust set cost over $5000...Its not a lambo..

As repeated countless times all over the board, the R8's strength is not in acceleration.
It's easy to dog on when you're sitting behind the computer and have never been in one. But I don't know many people who weren't all but impressed with the car's handling, balance, response, braking, interior, quality, etc etc etc.
Sure, it's underpowered -- but that's why there's a V10 coming.

And Milltek exhaust adds 20hp or so, drops a lot of weight, and makes it sound amazzzzing. Worth it, IMO.
