Lp 550-2

Quick question guys. Are these cars considered undesirable due to the rear wheel drive. I am seeing brand new 2011's selling WELL under MSRP.
Anyone able to school me on these? Looks like it might not be the best route if you're worried about severe depreciation?
TIA .

LP550-2 is one of the best bargains out there for exotics. They are going about $190-195k, almost same price as a R8 V10.

For the price, you get a lot. RWD is not a bad thing either.

The only reason they may sit is because people who can afford a $200k car want the best, which is either a LP570 or LP560. The LP550 is a little detuned like the R8 V10. It is a great value compared to the Balboni edition.

Thanks for your reply. What are you referring to as a great value? Aren't the LP550 and Balboni basically the same. 550 h.p. rear wheel drive?

Any rwd lambo would be more desirable to me. Such a shame lamborghini doesn't make rwd models more often.

Having driven the Balboni, I can assure you that it's a whole different car than the 4WD Gallardos. Though the new 550-2's actually have a different suspension set up that makes it calmer in the corners than the Balboni, which was pretty lively with any attempt at adjustments while cornering.

$210k msrp cars are having a $190k asking price, best deal I have seen was a $205k msrp car for $175k. That was the actual sold price.

Gallardos are a dime a dozen right now so with it being the end of the year its the perfect time to pick one up at a great price.
