Underground Racing X version and 2R making record passes at TI. **VIDEO**
Here is the video of two 6 Speed (manually shifted) Underground Racing TT Gallardos making a speed index pass. The Green TT Lamborghini set the new speed record at 213 mph. The prior record from the last event was held by the orange Underground Racing TT Gallardo 2R at 192 mph.
Thanks to the TI event staff and Team Underground Racing including John Reed Racing, Eurocharged and Proline Race engines. Also thanks to all customers that showed up to compete in this event.

Blew a turbo and the oil got on the exhaust.
The X version is pulling a carlength and a half between shifts on that 2R. Doubt it's even turned up here, too.

Juuuuuuust below your first post that we are referring to Kevin specifically stated where he took off at (after the first green flag). I'm guessing you just missed that, let's hope so. "
As seen in the still shot the earliest the video picks up the green light is before either cars have gotten to the very first cone out of the box, not green flag. Both cars then proceed to accelerate shortly after passing the mid way to 3/4 way point between the first cone and the first green flag per the video Kevin posted, not after the first flag.
There is no disputing that these cars are dang fast. There is no disputing the results in competition either, UGR across the board.
I think the dispute is with claiming a record during grudge/indexing when the same restrictions aren't being applied as when it comes to race time. In the end it's TSS's event and they make the rules. I think however from here forward, all parties should launch as soon as possible and/or be afforded equal opportunities to launch from the same spot. That or no records are able to be broken but during actual race day. To new car owners/drivers, now you know if you weren't informed before hand. I guess this is where the "standing (enter desired distance)" would level the playing field and do away with opportunities where situations like this effect records being set. As long as there is a "rolling start" there will always be drama. We should have all recognized that by now because we seen this multiple times well before at other events prior to TI.
Kudos to the TSS for putting on an amazing event. They did a great job getting it all organized and pulling it off successfully even with weather looming.
We all know we will go to bat for our shops any day of the week, and we rightfully should. They enable us to do what we so impatiently enjoy doing. It's all about competing and that's why we do it.
There is nothing wrong with friendly smack talking however there is no reason to verbally attack competitors or especially the Shops themselves. The majority of owners never get involved in this nonsense unless someone takes it way to far on a personal level. Kudos to those guys. If you have a beef, settle it at an event and let your driving and racing do the talking and hope that every competitor is afforded the same benefits/privileges.
