Actually, the new Toyota president has been very vocal about wanting to alter the path of the brand. His vision is to make exciting cars again and if that puts Toyota out of the #1 spot in volume, so be it.
He's put the Toyobaru and LFA on the fast track and who knows what other models we'll see pop up.

Completely agree. At $55K I would be really interested, something to compete against the M3, Lexus IS-F etc.

^ agreed. Top Gear test track times for example:
I mean, why not compare it to a Carrera then.
1:26.2 - Porsche 911 Carrera S (997)
I'd bet even the base carrera (non-S) DFI 997.2 would beat the Lotus Evora, and they're the same price. I'll take the 997.2 C2 please!
- 1:25.3 - BMW M3 (E90)
- 1:25.7 - Lotus Evora
- 1:25.7 - Audi RS4[13]

There was one at Petit Le Mans....I have to say, it is wonderful looking in person, pics do NOT do it justice. Very tidy, lots of great angles and the interior seems top notch.
I was really stunned in person, didn't expect it to look so cohesive.

great looking car but i feel it's underpowered considering the competition it goes up against. i mean for 75k i'd expect a lightweight performance orientated car to beat an all around champ like an m3 or a 997.1 or .2 but that's just my 0.02
i love those recaro sportster seats
